I was just so mad! I felt resentful at having to manage his work on top of mine and I realized I could not trust him to do anything.
The buildup of unmet expectation led to an erosion of trust, which I can foresee, will lead to disrespect and contempt.
I knew I could not let my child continue this way.
One of my parenting goals is to raise a reliable, dependable, trustworthy man who can be trusted to start and finish what he said he would do - and I could not see us going that way if I didn't change what I was doing.
Because I couldn't get an ADHD diagnosis for my child 2 years ago, I was forced to find something I could do, which led me to discover EXECUTIVE FUNCTION.
