This is for kids 5 - 14 years. Why? Because I feel these are the years that parents still have quite a bit of influence over your child. If we steward the relationship right, we'll have many more years of positive influence.

This programme is for you IF you are struggling with your child over things you see his/her peers having little or no trouble with - like doing homework without crying, doing assessment books fairly independently, you know you can sign your child up for group tuition classes without worrying if he/she will zone out - like in school.

I spent 2 years teaching and coaching my own child and in fact, he was doing pretty well and I feel things were under control. Until my child reacted very badly to a CCA incident that sent his anxiety skyrocketing and he mentioned self-harm. That was what propelled me to get a diagnosis and he was diagnosed to have ADHD - inattentive and impulsive presentation.

So if you're struggling and not intending to get a diagnosis, I welcome you into the programme because whatever we are doing are within the control of us parents. You may find that all it takes are a few tweaks to your child's environment and your child can thrive! That's great news!

But if you find that you're implementing the programme but still, things are rocky, then at least you know you've tried everything you can in your sphere of influence as a parent and maybe it's time to consider getting a diagnosis.

Yes! You're in the right place! With a diagnosis, we are able to dig into your report and find out your child's strengths and weaknesses and that will give us a better roadmap of how to help your child.

The common thread that runs across children with learning difficulties are weak executive function so yes, we can definitely help the kids strengthen their executive function skills.

Furthermore, you'll also get access to methods and resources of teaching reading and math inside my programme. You will need to learn how to do it (imho, not rocket science and I'll guide you through it) and practise with your child regularly. I always think if a parent is invested and is able to help the child everyday, it is as effective (if not more) than sending the child for class once a week.

But there is no shame nor harm if we can't do it and we already have a reading or math specialist helping our child, then you can just focus on EF and other issues.

But if sending for class or getting a specialist is not one of your options currently, joining Freedom Fam and learning how to do it yourself may be the next best thing for your child!

No. This is a parent coaching programme where I work with you as the parent facing challenges related to parenting an ADHD child. My programme cannot diagnose nor can we replace work with the therapist / psychologist / psychiatrist. You will need to do an independent evaluation of the specialists' effectiveness in working with your child.

But there are things we can do in the home in the capacity of the parent that can amplify the effect of the therapy and I am definitely the right person to help you with that.

That said, if you are still searching for the right specialist for your child, we can definitely get started on some things so we don't waste time. Sometimes, getting into the trenches with our child will highlight to us what kind of specialist your child really needs, the personality and the skillset that your kid will thrive with. Once we know, we'll have a better idea who to outsource and what exactly do we want the specialist to work on with our child.
